Infrared Sauna Benefits

Infrared sauna therapy has a vast amount of transformative benefits. Our list of top benefits:

Cultivate Calmness
It's deeply relaxing and can help clear + calm your mind.

Detoxification
The session cleanses your body by boosting all circulatory systems like blood + lymph, then eliminating toxins out of your body through sweat.

Muscle Recovery
It helps deliver fresh oxygenated blood to depleted muscles and clears lactic acid + metabolic waste. IR sauna therapy increases your bodies natural production of growth hormone, collagen production and helps with general muscle maintenance.

Flow State
IR sauna therapy stimulates the Vagus nerve, which primes our mind + body to experience flow.

  • Drink plenty of water before, during, and after your sauna session to replenish fluids lost through perspiration.

  • Limit food intake one hour before your infrared session. This allows the body to detox more effectively because it will not be using that energy for digestion.

  • Wear lightweight, breathe-able clothing. Most people wear a swimming costume, but shorts and a t-shirt are ok. Generally, we recommend as much of your body is as bare as possible.
Just remember to have a pair of clothes to change into after your shower, often these are the clothes you were wearing prior to your session, however - if you wear these clothes in the sauna - you'll need a fresh set to change into.

  • Oil and lotion decrease perspiration by blocking pores. Therefore, it is best to enter a sauna with dry, clean skin.

  • Towelling off during your session will keep the pores open for the body to perspire more.

  • We recommend taking a shower straight after your session to ensure the toxins you've expelled and are sitting on your skin get cleaned away rather than re-absorbed into your body.
